I’m Jenny and I quit drinking alcohol in 2010. My story isn’t sensational or awash in drama and tragedy (thankfully). I simply got to a point where alcohol was taking up too much of my headspace–was calling too many of the shots–so I quit. But, a non-drinker isn’t the only thing that I am. I’m also a mother to two children (Anna and Jack), an animal lover (we have a house full of pets), a wife, an introvert and a writer–among other things. I’m not very religious (but exploring my options). I cuss too much and have the sense of humor of that 7th grade boy in the back of the bus. I love the color orange, lemon-flavored anything and most of the Real Housewives franchises. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life and am the by-product of two dyed-in-the-wool Southern families. As a result, I can write a phenomenal, heart-felt thank you note and never wear white shoes after Labor Day. I hope my story either inspires you to make a change or simply gives you a glimpse into the life of an introverted non-drinker, plowing her way through life.
